PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: July 5, 2026
Identifiers and Contact Details: name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and emergency contact information provided when you register for a program, sign up for updates, or apply to volunteer.
Donor and Financial Information: payment card details, billing addresses, and transaction histories submitted when making a donation. Financial transactions are processed through a third-party payment processor, and we do not store full credit card numbers on our own servers.
Participant and Demographic Information: age, date of birth, school or educational background, and other information reasonably necessary to determine eligibility for a specific youth empowerment program, along with information provided on enrollment, health, and emergency contact forms.
Media Content: photographs, video, and audio recordings of program participants captured during camps, workshops, and events, collected in accordance with our Media and Photo Release, described in Section 4 below.
Information Collected Automatically
Device and Usage Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, and the pages viewed immediately before and after accessing our website.
Cookies: we use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain website functionality and to measure site performance. You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to browser “Do Not Track” signals or Global Privacy Control signals, our website does not currently alter its practices upon receiving such signals.
In alignment with responsible philanthropic practice, OmniQuest does not sell, rent, lease, trade, or share its donor lists, including names, email addresses, physical addresses, or telephone numbers, with any other organization or third party for that party's own marketing or promotional purposes.
We honor every donor's request to remain anonymous. If you wish for your contribution to remain confidential and excluded from public acknowledgments or annual reports, please notify us at the time of your donation or through the contact information in Section 14.
Because OmniQuest's programs, including Girls in Motion: STEM From Dance Camp, are designed for and marketed to elementary and middle school participants, we knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 in the course of program enrollment. We collect this information directly from a parent or legal guardian, not from the child, through our enrollment and registration process.
Before any personal information is collected from or about a child under 13, a parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the applicable enrollment form, which serves as our mechanism for obtaining verifiable parental consent. Where our registration process is completed online, only a parent or legal guardian may create or hold login credentials; children do not independently register or submit information through our website.
The information we collect about children under 13 is limited to what is reasonably necessary to administer our programs: identity and eligibility information, emergency contact and authorized pickup information, health or accommodation information relevant to program safety, and, where a parent has separately signed our Media and Photo Release, images or video of the child's participation.
A parent or legal guardian may review the personal information we hold about their child, request that it be corrected, or request that it be deleted, subject to any records we are required to retain for grant compliance, licensing, or legal purposes. To make such a request, contact us using the information in Section 14. Upon verification of the request, we will respond within a reasonable time.
A list of the third-party service providers, such as our registration, payment, and program management platforms, that may collect or maintain personal information from children through our programs is available upon request by contacting us using the information in Section 14.
Participants Ages 13 to 17
For participants between the ages of 13 and 17, enrollment and any related online account access must be completed or expressly authorized by a parent or legal guardian. We collect the same categories of information described above for this age group: identity and contact information, eligibility and demographic information, emergency contact information, and, where separately authorized, media content.
A parent or legal guardian retains the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their teenage participant's information on the same basis described for participants under 13. Where a minor between 13 and 17 directly provides information to us, such as through a program survey or feedback form, that submission is treated as authorized by the enrolling parent or guardian under the original program consent unless we are notified otherwise.
4. Information We Collect
OmniQuest regularly photographs and records program activities for use in marketing, fundraising, public relations, grant reporting, and social media. We do not photograph, record, or publish images or video of a participant for these purposes unless a parent or legal guardian has signed our standalone Media and Photo Release at the time of enrollment.
The Media and Photo Release describes, in plain language, what may be captured, where and for how long it may be used, and how a parent or guardian may withdraw consent going forward. A parent or guardian who declines to sign the release may still enroll their child in our programs; we will take reasonable steps to exclude that child from published photographs and video, though we cannot guarantee a child's exclusion from incidental background appearance in group settings or live events.
5. How We Use Your Information
To administer, facilitate, and improve our youth empowerment programs, events, and workshops.
To process donations, issue tax receipts, and maintain internal records for IRS compliance.
To communicate with you regarding program updates, newsletters, or upcoming events.
To manage volunteer, mentor, contractor, or employment applications.
To satisfy reporting obligations to our grant funders and licensing partners.
To monitor website trends and maintain platform security.
6. How We Disclose Your Information
OmniQuest does not sell personal information. We disclose personal information only in the following limited circumstances:
Trusted Service Providers: we share information with third-party vendors who perform necessary functions on our behalf, such as payment processing, email delivery, database management, and website hosting. These vendors are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality and to apply industry-standard security safeguards, and are not authorized to use your information for their own independent purposes.
Legal Obligations and Safety: we may disclose information where required by law, court order, or subpoena, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the health or physical safety of a participant, staff member, or the public.
7. Text and SMS Communications
If you opt in to receive text messages from OmniQuest regarding schedules, emergency alerts, or program updates, message frequency will vary based on program activity and the alerts you have opted into, and message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.
Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data collected for text messaging purposes are not shared, sold, or rented to any third party or affiliate under any circumstances, and are used solely to deliver the communications you
have requested.
You may cancel text messages at any time by replying “STOP” to any message you receive from us. You may reply “HELP” for assistance.
Consent to receive automated text messages is not a condition of program enrollment, participation, or making a donation.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including program administration, grant and licensing compliance, safety recordkeeping under our bullying prevention and safeguarding policies, and applicable legal or tax obligations. Donor transaction records are retained consistent with IRS recordkeeping requirements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it.
9. Data Security
We maintain physical, technical, and administrative safeguards designed to protect personal information, including Secure Sockets Layer and Transport Layer Security encryption for financial transactions. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and while we work to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
10. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a breach of security affecting your personal information, we will notify affected individuals and any applicable regulatory authorities in accordance with the District of Columbia Consumer Personal Information Security Breach Act (D.C. Code § 28-3851 et seq.) and any other breach notification law that applies based on your state of residence.
11. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on your state of residence, you may have statutory rights regarding the personal information we maintain about you, including the right to request access, correction, or deletion of that information, subject to our recordkeeping obligations described in Section 8 and any IRS retention requirements applicable to historical donor transactions. To exercise these rights or to opt out of future communications, contact us using the information in Section 14. If we decline to take action on your request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us within thirty (30) days of our response, using the same contact information.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable law. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy indicates when it was most recently revised. If we make a material change to how we handle personal information already collected, we will provide notice by posting the updated Policy on our website and, where appropriate, by emailing registered participants, donors, or volunteers.
13. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, except where superseded by applicable federal law.
